How do you describe Tyler Lusk, owner of Lusk Landscapes? 

He's a bit of all, but with soul. Like his music, Tyler's landscape plans come together like a soulful song... keeping with the rhythm and soul of nature. 

Tyler is committed to landscape artistry, in tune with nature. He prefers designing landscapes using construction techniques and plants that are suitable to this climate zone. He aims to use sustainable recycled materials with environmentally correct disposal.

Tyler began his landscape design career working with an established landscape service in Humboldt county. He also worked at a local landscape waste reduction business, where he gained extensive knowledge working in variety of positions as operating engineer, millwright and mechanic. 

During the same 12 years, Tyler managed Maple Creek Organic Farms. Tyler and his partner Merit were regular vendors at Arcata's farmers market selling their home-grown organic vegetables. Their personal vegetable garden was established using gravity fed irrigation with drip systems combined with 100% organic amended soil.

In 1995, Tyler founded Lusk Landscapes, a full service landscape design, installation and maintenance company. Lusk Landscapes is bonded and licensed in California.

Tyler is an accomplished musician. "Ty Rock" plays drums with his local band at many area events and concerts.
